The fellowship was bought together to destroy a very powerful and evil ring that was forged by the evil lord Sauron. Sauron was killed but the spirit of him lived on through the ring. The fellowship have to take the ring to mount doom to destroy it as no other weapon can to the task. The ring was made to control all and was forged after other rings of power were given to good people. Nine rings were given to good,loyal men but then the power of the rings posesed them and they are now neither living or dead. they are caled the ring wraiths. They are constantly searching for the 'one ring' and follow the fellowship on their dangerous journey. The fellowship consists of two human men, a dwarf, an elf, a wizard and four young hobbits. Frodo Baggins, the ring bearer, and one of the hobbits was left the ring by his cousin, Bilbo Baggins.
